About the event
LeRoy Wiley Gresham of Georgia was just 12 years old when the Civil War began to tear his world apart. An invalid, the boy maintained a diary throughout the war, capturing the conflicts and the changes to his society. Historian Janet Croon reflects on LeRoy’s writings that comprise one of the outstanding collections in the Library of Congress. Free; arrive early; limited seating.
