​​​Surratt Society Virtual Conference

 

Originally scheduled for April 25, rescheduled to May 2, 2026.

2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m (Eastern Time- U.S. and Canada)

The Surratt Society's annual virtual meeting and conference was back for its 6th year.  There was a brief business meeting, which included the election of officers for the 2026-27 term. 

The newly elected slate of officers is:

                           President                             Louise Oertly

                           Vice President                     William Binzel

                           Treasurer                             Dr. Nathan Willis

                           Secretary                             Rebacca Morris

Afterwards, there were two speakers:

     *  Mike Mazzeo on the history and restoration of Rich Hill, the home of Samuel Cox and Booth's third stop in his attempted escape.

     *   Joe Barry will discuss the audience at Ford's Theatre on the night of April 14, 1865.
